What is it?
how does it work?
The first step in using QR Codes in your classroom is learning to create the codes. A QR Code is basically a link to a page on the internet. That page may be a website, or it may be a page that houses text, audio or video files. There are many QR Code creation sites, but we will look at QR Stuff.com. Click on the icon on the left to go to the website. Once you have determined what page or site you would like to link to you can enter in the information or copy the URL of that page and paste it in to this website and it will produce a downloadable QR Code image for you to print.

QR Code readersOnce you have created a QR Code you will need to have a smartphone or tablet with a camera and an app that will read the codes. I-nigma is one of many code reader apps available. Once a QR code has been created, downloaded and printed, students will use the app to scan and read the code. The kids love it! It's like magic! Click on the link to the right to download I-nigma from the app store.
